Elīna tours with Vienna Philharmonic

This June, Elīna Garanča embarks on tour with the Vienna Philharmonic under the baton of Venezuelan conductor Rafael Payare. Opening the tour at the Wiener Konzerthaus on June 16, the acclaimed mezzo-soprano takes the stage to sing Mahler’s Rückert-Lieder cycle. The program, which returns to the Konzerthaus on June 17, also includes Beethoven’s “Leonora Overture” and Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra.

Following the Viennese concerts, Elīna travels with the Vienna Philharmonic to Vilnius, Lithuania, to reprise the program on June 19, and sings again on June 20 in her hometown of Riga, Latvia.
