Elīna Performs in Concerts in Europe and the US
This month, Elīna performs in concerts in Europe and the US, beginning with Mahler’s Third Symphony on February 25, 26, and 27 at Staatskapelle Dresden. Conducted by Christian Thielemann, the performance will be broadcast on MDR Kultur and MDR Klassik on February 27 at 8:05 p.m.
Next, on March 3, the Latvian mezzo-soprano travels to Los Angeles for a concert at The Broad Stage, the site of her US recital debut. Karel Mark Chichon conducts the evening of zarzuela and selections from Carmen.
Following her appearance in Los Angeles, Elīna performs with the Berlin Philharmonic on March 25 in a concert conducted by Sir Simon Rattle at Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, featuring works by Strauss, Berg, Ravel and Stravinsky. Elīna closes March with another performance of Mahler’s Third Symphony, this time as part of the Salzburg Easter Festival on March 27 and 30.
On April 10, Elīna sings at Musikerverein, performing works by Schumann, Wagner, and Mahler, and accompanied by Malcolm Martineau.
